Trial
DalCor genotype-defined trial (NCT05918861)
Status Recruiting; primary completion August 2027
A further phase 3 trial of dalcetrapib in a genetically defined population, n=2,000, started October 2023 with primary completion in August 2027. The live continuation of the ADCY9 story, and the reason it is wrong to say the CETP field consists of obicetrapib alone.
Most summaries of CETP inhibition end in 2017. This trial is the counter-example: an active, recruiting, genotype-selected outcomes programme in a drug that was declared neutral fourteen years earlier. Its result matters less for dalcetrapib than for the general question of whether pharmacogenomic rescue of a failed cardiovascular drug is ever possible.
